Discover Le Monteynard, a world appart

A bridge is now thrown on the turquoise coma of Le Monteynard. Thanks to this there is a link between the two most beautiful summer touristic places of Dauphiné. Landscapes, scents, gastronomy...

On this land of contrasts, half-rural, half-mountain, we can also feel the sweet smell of Provence. Between Grenoble, capital of the Alpes and the nearby South, come and take a few hours or a few days to go hiking, mountain biking, windsurfing, eating local food, sleeping in a guest house, seeing a beautiful chapel, dancing in a village party... Musée Matheysin (La Mure)

A pedagogic route going through unique collections, archive documents, reconstitutions, video editing. A museum to understand the life of an alpin plateau, the one of farmers, livestock farmers, nailers, glovers, pedlars, pit workers who shaped the traditional province of Dauphiné.

La mine image (La Motte d'Aveillans)

Cradle of the anthracite Mines of La Mure, the 250 meters (273 yards) of galeries of this astonishing southern work will make you dive in the inedit universe of the « deep » and the anthracite. The memories of the mine technics and the history of the « gueules noires » will come up.

Vizille domain

Near Grenoble and the Oisans massif, on the famous Napoleon road, Vizille domain represents a prestigious cultural and natural heritage on 100 ha (247 acres). You will find a museum dedicated to the French Revolution, an animal parc and the castle gardens.

The center living earth (Mens)

Space dedicated to the discovery of practical ecology (gardens, habitat, playground, picnic areas, commented visits, eco-store).

Le Mont Aiguille 2086 m (6,883.8 feet)

One of the seven wonders of Dauphiné. More than a climbing site, it represents the beginning of mountaineering history. Antoine de Ville climbed it in 1492 under the King of France orders.


Welcome to nature lovers! Among the varied flora of Triève, we found around forty wild orchids, one of them is the famous Sabot de Vénus (Lady's Slipper).

Adventure paths, via ferrata, climbing, bungee jumping...

Varied activities are possible. Down Le Mont Aiguille and Le Grand Vermont, the setting is grandiose.

Olivier Messian's tomb (Saint-Théoffrey)

This famous 20th century composer collected each summer all his inspiration in Matheysine during more than fifty years. Captivated by these mountain landscapes, he composed the essential of his work in Petichet (Saint-Théoffrey).
