The lake

At 500 m (547 yards) of altitude, a surface area of 657 ha (1624 acres), Monteynard lake stretches its turquoise waters on 20 km (12.4 miles).

Jewel of tourism in Dauphiné

Mostly navigable, famous for kitesurfing and windsurfing, the lake is a paradise for sports and water activities like wakeboarding, fishing, canoeing, speedboating, water-skiing...

Dominated by our famous massif called « Sénépy » (1769 m of altitude – 1934.6 yards), this huge water retention was created in 1962 when EDF dam was built. This place gives endless leisures for varied people. Shady banks, beach games, picnic areas with public barbecues, windsurf and canoe rentals or even cruises on La Mira are possible.
